Mie îmi place U2. Mai ales ce o scos până la All That You Can’t Leave Behind (2000). The Joshua Tree şi Achtung Baby îmi plac foarte mult. Dar [acum e momentu în care îmi activez scutu invizibil să nu mă păruiască fanii înrăiţi U2] Bono şi-o ia la el acasa de la Thom Yorke.
Nu ştiu de când e, ştiu doar că sună extraordinar de bine. Radiohead făcând cover la Sunday Bloody Sunday. Am auzit foarte multe variante live U2, dar nici una nu m-o pălit ca asta a Radioheazilor 😀

pe mine m-au lovit amandoua. se produce totusi ceva degradare a sensului prin imitatie (ca la platon, fra!): radiohead face cover dupa cantec – cantecul ca fenomen, nu reitereaza neaparat protestul, e cumva o trecere de la particular spre universal, te emotioneaza mai degraba prin ‘how long must we sing this song?” pe cand la u2 totul e relevant. zic io. dar, desigur, thom yorke il bate la fund oricand pe bono. plus ca e si mai secsi. naiba, pe-ala il cheama „bono”.

Hate to disappoint you, but this is not Readiohead. It’s actually The edge of U2 perfroming on his own in Sarajevo on September 23rd 1997.
Doesn’t even sound like Thom Yorke, but good song nevertheless.

The voice is not a problem. It does sound like Thom to me. A friend sent it to me. I shall investigate (where was it recorded and stuff like that) a little and get back on this one.
But, as you said, it’s a really good song, and beautifully performed (like this version better than any Bono I’ve listened to)
