I felt your shadow on the way home

Săptămâna trecută am prmit, la schimb să zicem, The Winston Jazz Routine. Din nume, mă așteptam la ceva chestii dark, dubioase și agitate.Ei bine, sunt undeva la polul opus.

Sospiri e un album foarte calm și oarecum fragil. Și plin de emoție, pentru că

There are childhood friends and new acquaintances; family members young and elderly, dead and alive; grandfathers, mothers, and younger brothers; homeless pianists, orchestra conductors, students in high school and college, married church members and librarians. Telling the whole tale would involve weaving together the stories of these dozens of people as they have grown and changed, as their lives have overlapped in basements and attics, kitchens and back porches, diners and coffee shops, recording studios, classrooms, churches, even on the telephone across hundreds of miles.

Pentru mine e genul de album căruia îi dau play încă o dată, imediat după ce s-o terminat. Combinația de sunete prelungite, cu clinchtele de ici-colo, instrumentele diverse și vocea minunată dau o căldură aparte alumului. Iar mie impresia că ne știm – eu și Sospiri – de ani buni și acum ne „revedem” și nu ne mai săturăm unul de celălalt.
